This is a photo of my son taken today in my Spa office by my daughter.  She is 7 years old and much shorter than her brother.  I wanted an up angle view of him so she took the perfect shot.
My son is hitting puberty now.  He is 12 going on 13.  One of the first expressions of the new dimension that is waking up inside him is his fascination with fire.  This is something that almost every male I know has gone through.
So, I am going to do a painting of him which features him flicking a cigarette lighter.  And because he is also fascinated by new technologies I am going to use this photo taken from an Iphone as the basis for the work.
In a few days I will post the painting.
